GENERAL
Ray lives and works in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where he is a teacher at both the high school and the college levels. He is also a writer, having written over five hundred poems, dozens of essays and short stories, and six novels (see WRITINGS page for details).
ACTIVITIES
Mountain climbing, skydiving, scuba diving, bungie jumping, base jumping, cave diving, cliff diving, extreme skiing, bear baiting, shark riding, bull riding, supercross, and street luging. Oh, and Buzkashi (aka goat grabbing), the national sport of Afghanistan.
INTERESTS
Ray's main interest is writing. Right up there with that would of course be reading. The two go hand in hand, for obvious reasons. He is never without a book. He also likes to teach.
SPORTS
Ray is an Iggles fan, bleeding green from August through January. He's also a Phillies fan, bleeding red (...!) from April through October.
MOVIES
Ray likes many movies, depending on his mood. Among his favorites: Forrest Gump, The World According to Garp, The Stand, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rose Red, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, The Right Stuff, Rudy, Remember the Titans, Tombstone, Goodfellas, The Godfather trilogy, Girl Interrupted, Jaws, The Matrix, Constantine, Braveheart, The Patriot, Jesus of Nazareth, Harry Potter, and many, many more.
MUSIC
Ray's iPod has everything from Led Zeppelin to Mozart to John Denver to Deep Purple to Loreena McKennitt to Alice in Chains to Enya to the Beatles to the Moody Blues to Celtic Women, etc., depending on his mood depends on the music he listens to

Stephen King, Harper Lee, JK Rowling, Morgan Llywelyn, Stephen Lawhead, Piers Anthony, Larry Niven, Orson Scott Card, Douglas Adams, JRR Tolkien, etc.
